Sarasota Floating Kayak Dock Seawall

Florida Shoreline completed a full waterfront construction project in downtown Sarasota, including a seawall, boat dock, and floating kayak dock designed for both performance and usability.

The seawall spans 100 linear feet and was constructed using ShoreGuard vinyl panels. Due to poor soil conditions, the original 12-foot panel design was revised in coordination with the project engineer, upgrading to 16-foot panels to achieve the required structural performance. The system was further reinforced with CHANCE® helical tieback anchors to ensure long-term stability and resilience.

The boat dock was built with WearDeck decking, providing a durable, low-maintenance surface engineered to withstand harsh marine conditions while maintaining a clean, modern look.

To enhance waterfront accessibility, an AccuDock floating dock was installed as a dedicated kayak slip. The system includes an overhead assist bar, allowing for safer and easier entry and exit from kayaks.

This project demonstrates a practical, engineered approach to overcoming site challenges while delivering a highly functional and visually cohesive waterfront solution.
