Bradenton Seawall Replacement Hurricane Ian Restoration

Florida Shoreline was hired for an urgent waterfront restoration project in Bradenton after Hurricane Ian caused catastrophic failure of the property’s existing concrete seawall. The damaged structure was completely removed and replaced with 100 linear feet of ShoreGuard 16’ CL-9900 corrugated vinyl seawall panels, reinforced with CHANCE® helical tieback anchors to ensure long-term strength and shoreline stability.

One of the most technically demanding aspects of the project was the proximity of the swimming pool, located just 30 inches behind the failed seawall. To protect the structure, the team installed shoring panels to stabilize the undermined area, carefully working within tight spatial constraints just beyond the pool’s lanai.

Adding further complexity, all construction—including demolition and underwater debris removal—was completed entirely by barge, with no land-based access. After completing the seawall, Florida Shoreline re-framed and re-decked the existing boat dock using WearDeck decking, restoring both functionality and appearance. The project concluded successfully, earning a 5-star Google review from the satisfied customer.
