Bird Key Seawall Trex Dock

Florida Shoreline completed a specialized seawall and dock project on Bird Key in Sarasota, where strict community regulations require uniform seawall heights throughout the neighborhood. With extensive experience working in the area, the team successfully navigated permitting and compliance requirements to deliver a fully approved and properly engineered solution.

The project included the construction of a 120-foot seawall using ShoreGuard vinyl panels, selected for their durability and resistance to harsh marine conditions. CHANCE® helical tieback anchors were installed to reinforce the structure, ensuring long-term stability and performance under varying environmental loads.

In addition to the seawall, the existing boat dock structure was preserved while the decking was upgraded with Trex Select composite decking. This material provides a clean, modern appearance along with excellent resistance to moisture, wear, and long-term exposure in a waterfront environment.
