Not all boat docks are built the same.  Some of the upgrades Florida Shoreline considers standard are:

• Composite or PVC decking secured with stainless steel screws or hidden fasteners

• Stainless steel hardware, not galvanized which will rust within a few years

• Plastic piling wrap, to help protect against marine boring organisms

• Routering of the cut ends of all timbers and pilings, to eliminate splinters and for a cleaner more polished look
